The Assistant Medical Director of Specialty Clinics is responsible for the direct management and oversight of clinical and administrative operations within the Primary and Specialty Medicine (PSM) service line. These duties include supervision (directly or indirectly) of physicians and mid-level providers at the Health Care System and the affiliated Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs), coordination of work schedules and responsibility for clinical performance measures. The incumbent works closely with other leaders within the service line and facility to ensure optimization of resources in the care delivery model. Additionally, s/he participates in local administrative, management, quality assurance, and other assignments, meetings, or committees as necessary or assigned.

Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) Authorized: This position may be eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program, based on the area of specialty of the selected candidate. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases

Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)

Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA

Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory
