JOB DESCRIPTIONSummary: The Advanced Manufacturing Engineer is responsible to complete all the advance manufacturing deliverable for a program to develop and launch the manufacturing process.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Development of manufacturing processes by completing detailed engineering analysis ofDesign for assemblyLogistics and contingency planning Process flowProcess labor planning & line balanceMaterial flow and lineside presentationPlant layoutErgonomic analysisVisual managementProcess failure mode and effect analysisProduction equipment & tooling specification, purchase, and acceptanceValidation of manufacturing process to meet labor targets, production output and quality standardsTechnical Skills:PFMEA developmentMODAPTS or equivalent training/certificationDirect and indirect labor analysis and planningEquipment specification, ordering, run-off, installation, and qualificationCapital equipment budget planning and trackingStrong computer skills with ability to quickly learn new software/applicationsAbility to draw two dimensional layouts in CAD software (Autocad)Analytical problem solvingDesign for assembly and manufacturingProject management - plan development and executionEducation and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Industrial or Mechanical preferred)Minimum 5 years of industry experience – automotive interiors experience preferredExperience with seating products desiredPRIMARY LOCATIONCentral Tech Unit Plymouth MISummaryLocation: Plymouth, MIType: Full time
