Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week travel assignment requiring CA RRT licensure, Epic experience, and at least 2 years of experience.
Details
- Work in a hospital Respiratory Therapy / Neuro Diagnostics department
- Variable shifts, including nights (3x12, 19:00–7:30) and days (3x12, 7:00–19:30)
- Requires availability for both day and night shifts
- Every other or every third weekend work required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Provides respiratory care across adult critical care, emergency department, and neonatal/pediatric settings
Requirements
- Current CA RRT license required if applicable
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- Epic charting system experience required
- Prior travel experience preferred
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Experience with ventilator management, ABG interpretation, airway management, and medication delivery systems
- Skilled in neonatal/pediatric procedures such as CPAP/BiPAP, intubation assist, and capillary/umbilical blood gases
- Experience caring for patients with ARDS, aspiration, bronchoscopy, COVID, cystic fibrosis, and pneumonia preferred
- Two supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsible for airway management, ventilator care, and respiratory treatments across multiple patient populations
- Performs arterial blood draws, chest physiotherapy, and pulmonary hygiene procedures
- Participates in patient transport, including interdepartmental and ambulance transport
- Maximum of 7 days RTO per contract, with only one holiday request approved per contract
- Holiday coverage includes New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
- Local candidates accepted at local rate within a 50-mile radius
- Returning employees must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
- Candidates may only submit to one facility within the health system at a time
