Our Project Managers are responsible for the successful initiation, planning, execution, control and close-out of major electric transmission, distribution and substation projects. The successful candidate must have exceptional leadership skills and possess the ability to successfully navigate through and resolve complex and oftentimes multi-functional challenges associated with large projects.ResponsibilitiesProvide strategic project management leadership for large and complex electric transmission and distribution, and substation projectsResponsible for leading projects through all internal and external processes, and navigate the project life cycleResponsible for the overall management of the project scope, schedule, and costAccountable for key project decision-makingManages a collaborative project team to ensure each key functional project discipline is meeting the planned project scope, schedule, and costLead overall project – coaching, conflict resolution, facilitation, motivation, and negotiationResponsible for leading project meetingsAccountable to develop, update and manage the project plan associated with the project life cycleCoordinate communication and provides status updates to stakeholders as requiredAssess project risk and proactively develop mitigation plansProactively manages project requests for information and action itemsEnsure availability or seeks out adequate resources to support the projectEstablish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of workMinimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree requiredMinimum of 3 years of electric utility substation project management experience requiredPMP Certification is desiredDemonstrate the ability to be organized and work on multiple projects and meet deadlines by setting prioritiesMust be able to prepare clear and concise status updates and reports as requiredProven experience in Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project)Proficient in analyzing problems, identifying alternative solutions, project consequences of proposed actions and implement recommendations to support project scope, schedule and cost objectivesDemonstrates excellent leadership, verbal/written communications, time management, interpersonal and organizational skillsConsistently produces results that meet goals, has high work standards, and understands the business environment and processesAchieves results by problem-solving, setting priorities and organizationStrives for individual excellence by seeking challenges and self-development, demonstrating high levels of expertise and showing commitment, self-confidence, and integrityBenefits & CompensationQualus offers a competitive benefits package for eligible employees, which may include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short- and Long-Term Disability coverage, Retirement Savings Plans (including employer matching where applicable), Flexible Spending and/or Health Spending Accounts, Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), Parental Leave, Paid Time Off, and Company Holidays.
