Senior Staff Accountant

Job Details: Job Location: Fort Worth - Fort Worth, TX, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Job Shift: Day JOB SUMMARY SupplyLogic, a tech-enabled, PE-backed marketing solutions provider, is seeking a detail-oriented, highly motivated Senior Staff Accountant to join our finance team. This role will serve as a direct contributor in strengthening financial processes, enhancing internal controls, and supporting a world-class accounting function. Based in Dallas, TX, this hybrid role will report to the Controller and will have exposure to the FP&A team and CFO. This position will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of the company's financial operations while helping drive continuous improvement across the organization. This position is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments and has a proven track record working within mid-to-large-sized organizations with strong controls and disciplined accounting practices. The role requires a strong foundation in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), month-end close (accruals, reclasses, AJEs, etc.), balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis, financial reporting, and an eye for process improvement. They will routinely partner with offshore shared service teams, operational leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders to identify inefficiencies, resolve issues before they become mission-critical, and bring structure to evolving processes. This individual must be willing to dive into the details, challenge assumptions, analyze root causes, and apply sound judgment and critical thinking to solve problems and improve outcomes. A CPA or CPA candidate is preferred. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS General Ledger Maintenance: Perform general ledger accounting functions, including reconciliations, journal entries, fixed asset management, and month-end close processes. Account Reconciliations: Perform detailed reconciliations of accounts, including cash, AR, AP, inventory, customer deposits, etc. to ensure the accuracy of financial data. Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports and ad-hoc analysis to support management decision-making. Provide clients with financial reporting for outsourced projects. Variance Analysis: Conduct monthly variance analysis and identify trends, providing insights to support financial integrity and strategy Compliance & Internal Controls: Support compliance efforts by maintaining GAAP standards, assisting with tax reporting compliance (sales & use, VAT, Property & Franchise, federal, etc.), maintaining proper internal controls, and maintaining audit-readiness. Support Audits: Assist with all audit processes, preparing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries from our CPA firm and bank. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance accounting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy. Additional Responsibilities: Provide back-up and support to other team members with cash flow management, treasury functions, business license filing, cash receipts and disbursements. Other ad-hoc projects as assigned. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS Experience: 5+ years of experience in accounting, with strong general ledger and financial reporting skills Certification: CPA or active CPA candidate preferred Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and ERP systems Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements Strong analytical mindset with excellent communication skills to effectively present financial insights Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment EDUCATION Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field #J-18808-Ljbffr
