Job Title: Instructor/Assistant Professor/Associate Professor, School of Nursing Reports To: Chair, School of Nursing Status: Full-Time, Exempt Salary Range: $72,000.00 To $90,000.00 Annually Work Arrangement: Onsite Anticipated Start Date: January 2027 Summary/objective The Mount Saint Mary College School of Nursing seeks a full-time, tenure-track nursing faculty member to join our CCNE-accredited program dedicated to educating the next generation of nurses. Our faculty work closely with undergraduate and graduate students through teaching in the classroom, skills laboratories, simulation labs, and/or clinical settings. Additionally, faculty will have the opportunity to participate in curriculum transition process to a competency-based curriculum program, and perform other academic duties in accordance with the mission and purpose of Mount Saint Mary College and the School of Nursing. Tenure-track positions also include expectations of scholarship for promotion. Candidates may be granted service time towards promotion and/or tenure based on relevant experience. The successful candidate will: Demonstrate versatile and effective teaching and mentoring practices that guide and engage students in the pre-licensure and graduate nursing programs; Lead course coordination and supervision of clinical adjunct faculty in accordance with course requirements; Work collaboratively with faculty in program planning, curriculum change and improvement, and fulfillment of accreditation requirements for the School of Nursing; Provide academic advising to students; Participate in the School of Nursing and College academic committees; Actively engage in college-wide activities such as Open Houses, Faculty Development Days, and related Commencement activities; Be responsive to student needs through availability for office hours and on campus days; Demonstrate a strong commitment to work with a diverse group of undergraduate and graduate nursing students, especially first-generation students Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. Required education and experience Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university; At least five (5) years of clinical experience; Unencumbered current New York RN license or eligibility. Preferred education and experience Doctoral degree in Nursing or related field (Candidates enrolled in a doctoral program are invited to apply.) Experience in Nursing higher education in the classroom, laboratory, and/or clinic. Experience in Medical-Surgical, Critical Care, Mother Baby, Pediatrics, or Mental Health areas.
