Job Details Position: Travel Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) Location: Boston, MA 02114 Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 - $2,010 Setting: General Medicine / Medical-Surgical Unit Start Date: 09/13/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Hours per Week: 36 Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts Shifts per Week: Typically 3 shifts per week Shift Pattern: Day/night rotation, every other weekend, every other holiday Employment Type: Travel Nursing Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing At least 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical nursing or acute care nursing experience required Travel nursing experience preferred Experience in a Level 1 trauma center or comparable academic medical center setting preferred Strong patient assessment, communication, and time-management skills Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays as scheduled Ability to complete documentation and onboarding requirements prior to start Responsibilities Deliver safe, compassionate care to medical-surgical patients on a busy general medicine unit Perform ongoing patient assessments, monitor changes in condition, and escalate concerns appropriately Administer medications and coordinate treatments according to the plan of care Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to support positive patient outcomes Document patient care thoroughly and accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) Support patient and family education to encourage understanding and continuity of care Adapt quickly to unit workflow, priorities, and evolving patient needs in a fast-paced acute care environment Apply now to join this exciting Boston healthcare travel nursing opportunity and make an impact in Med/Surg patient care.
