Duration: 12 weeks

Shift: Night 5x8-Hour Hours per Shift: 8

Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required

License: Pending State License accepted

Certifications: ASCP required

Must-Have: Phlebotomy experience required

Must-Have: Blood Bank experience required, including ABO/Rh/Antibody Screen & ID, AHG Crossmatch, and blood banking procedures

Must-Have: Chemistry experience required, including arterial blood gas, cardiac enzymes, and therapeutic drug monitoring

Must-Have: Hematology/Coagulation experience required, including automated instrument use and manual differential

Must-Have: Immunology/Serology experience required, including body fluids and rapid test kits

Professional knowledge and skills experience required, including blood specimen storage and venipuncture

Description: Looking for an experienced Medical Lab Technician with a strong background in phlebotomy. The candidate must work 5x8-hour night shifts. Experience in a hospital clinical laboratory is essential. The technician will be responsible for performing various laboratory tests and analyses. Key responsibilities include working with blood bank procedures and conducting chemistry tests. The technician should be familiar with hematology and coagulation tests, as well as immunology and serology. Strong knowledge of quality assurance and controls is required. Candidates must possess strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team. This position does not require on-call duties or floating to other facilities. Availability to work every other weekend is expected. The facility operates within an acute care setting. Candidate must be able to adhere to safety and proper disposal protocols in the laboratory. All necessary training will be provided, but prior experience is essential.
