About the Position

Travel RN – Bed Placement / Patient Placement (ER) | Phoenix, AZ | 13 Weeks

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a Bed Placement/Patient Placement position supporting Emergency Room operations in Phoenix, AZ. This is a unique non-bedside nursing role focused on patient placement, bed management, and coordination across multiple acute care facilities.

Position Details:

• Schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts per week
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week

Important Note:

• This position involves zero hands-on patient care .
• Responsibilities are focused on assigning patients to appropriate hospital units and coordinating bed placement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage patient bed placement across multiple hospitals.
• Review bed requests and ensure patients are assigned to the appropriate level of care.
• Communicate with charge nurses and leadership regarding placement concerns.
• Utilize TeleTracking, Cerner, Google applications, and multiple communication platforms simultaneously.
• Collaborate with hospital departments to facilitate efficient patient flow.

Requirements

• Active RN License
• BLS Certification
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care RN experience preferred
• Experience with TeleTracking required
• Experience with Cerner required
• Strong computer and multitasking skills
• Familiarity with hospital departments and patient placement workflows
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
