MANAGER EMAIL MARKETING AND SUPPORTER ENGAGEMENT Job Location(s): US - Atlanta, GA Job Summary CARE is seeking a highly skilled marketing professional to lead the Marketing department's email marketing, supporter engagement, marketing automation, and lifecycle communications strategy. Building on CARE News, the welcome series, Advocacy communications, and other existing engagement efforts, this role will develop a more integrated, data-driven program that strengthens supporter relationships and moves audiences from awareness to advocacy, giving, and long-term engagement. The Manager will serve as Marketing's lead for email strategy and execution while helping the organization maximize Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Quorum, SMS, marketing automation, and emerging technologies to improve supporter experiences and results. This hands-on role requires expertise in email marketing, automation, audience engagement, testing and optimization, analytics, and cross-functional collaboration, with a focus on using AI and automation to improve performance and supporter journeys. Location: Wherever CARE operates in the USA. Responsibilities Lead Email Marketing & Supporter Engagement Programs Lead and optimize CARE News and Marketing and Advocacy email communications; build and deploy campaigns in Salesforce Marketing Cloud; partner with content teams to develop supporter communications; implement strategies that deepen supporter engagement and relationships. Build and Optimize Supporter Journeys Develop and manage lifecycle communications; refine welcome journeys and stewardship programs; create segmented engagement pathways; support advocacy participation, first-time giving, recurring giving, and long-term engagement. Manage Marketing Automation, Text Marketing & Engagement Platforms Build and optimize automated journeys in Salesforce Marketing Cloud; support text marketing; use Quorum to support advocacy communications; improve automation, workflows, and cross-channel engagement. Drive Testing, Reporting & Innovation Lead A/B testing; monitor engagement and conversion metrics; develop performance recommendations; evaluate AI-powered solutions and emerging best practices. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. 4–7+ years of experience in email marketing, lifecycle marketing, digital engagement, or marketing automation; strong hands‑on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio); experience managing email and text marketing programs; understanding of supporter journeys, lifecycle marketing, and stewardship communications; experience with segmentation, personalization, testing, and marketing automation; familiarity with Quorum or similar advocacy platforms; working knowledge of AI tools for marketing workflows; strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; ability to collaborate across multiple teams and manage competing priorities. Preferred Qualifications Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications (Email Specialist, Consultant, or related certifications). Experience in nonprofit, fundraising, advocacy, or mission-driven organizations; familiarity with donor conversion, recurring giving, advocacy engagement, and supporter stewardship; experience working with CRM, digital marketing, and web teams; experience using AI-enabled tools for marketing optimization and content development.
