Location & Hiring Information Location: 2233 GARY FARMS BLVD, BOWLING GREEN, KY, 42104, United States Job Category: Merchandiser Employee Type: Seasonal-SE Required Degree: High school Manage Others: Yes Job Overview Merchandiser will act as a field representative for The Cottage Gardens Inc. The purpose of this position is to create and maintain great looking plant displays at our customer’s location. This job requires the merchandiser to perform physical tasks as well as maintain communication with store associates, regional merchandisers and The Cottage Gardens staff. This is a seasonal position. Merchandisers are expected to work a minimum of 15 hours per week (8 of which must be completed on the weekend) during peak season (Mid-April thru Mid-June). Minimum Physical Requirements Must be physically able to lift 40 lbs total, and 20 lbs over head. Position requires heavy pushing and pulling of shipping racks. Must be able to climb ladders. Must be willing to work in inclement weather (rain, snow, wind). Responsibilities and Duties Unload and maintain all products from The Cottage Gardens and other vendors as needed. Assist with building incise Garden Center benches and parking lot corrals. Create and replenish sign displays with Home Depot approved signing. Build special event displays and proper signing/Executing promotions and special event pricing. Assist Home Depot management with special projects. Maintain plan‑ogram integrity. Routine care of plant material (deadheading, pruning, watering, etc.). Maintain all displays by condensing and culling product. Work the schedule assigned by regional supervisor. Travel may be required between stores. Reliable transportation is required. Appropriate attire and work ethic are essential.
