Under the general direction of a Program and Project Supervisor (PPS), the PURA II conducts economic, policy and/or technical analyses and research on passenger transportation matters. The PURA II independently prepares or contributes to technical and investigative reports, audits, testimony, legislative analysis and procedures. Advises TEB management regarding for-hire transportation enforcement and consumer protection issues that involve transportation network companies, bus and limousine service, and electric and driver-less vehicles.
Under the supervision of a Program and Project Supervisor (PPS), the PURA I conducts entry-level economic, policy, and/or technical analyses and research on passenger transportation matters by contributing to technical and investigation reports, testimony, and procedures and conducting research and proposing options including alternatives to Transportation Enforcement Branch (TEB) management regarding enforcement and consumer protection issues that involve transportation network companies (TNC), charter party carriers (TCP), passenger stage corporations (PSC), vessel common carriers (VCC), and autonomous vehicles.

- The position(s) require(s) a valid California Drivers License (CDL). You must answer the questions addressing your CDL on your application. Ensure you provide your CDL number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions.

- Ability to analyze data and create forecasting models using Excel or other tools.
- Experience in consistently meeting deadlines, coordinating complex and expansive workload, and executing around priorities.
