Senior Engineer - Automation

Senior Engineer – Automation at Bristol Myers Squibb is responsible for maintaining and optimizing process automation control systems supporting manufacturing operations in Devens, MA. The role requires deep expertise in DeltaV, PI Historian, and batch processing systems, with independent technical leadership and 24/7 on-call support responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Serve as subject matter expert for process automation systems and equipment
- Lead complex technical initiatives including large-scope changes and system integrations
- Drive continuous improvement projects to enhance operational robustness and efficiency
- Provide 24/7 on-call troubleshooting support and guidance to manufacturing teams
- Collaborate with Validation, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering on compliance and audit support
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Biological/Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field
- 5+ years relevant work experience or equivalent education/experience combination
- 4+ years hands-on experience with DeltaV, PI Historian, and OT Infrastructure
- Expert-level knowledge of S88, S95, batch processing, and validation lifecycle management
- Experience with QMS systems (Veeva or similar) and GMP Quality Processes required
- Proficiency with IT ticketing systems (ServiceNow or similar) and engineering documentation standards
Compensation: $130,000 - $175,000
