Clinical Consultant, Medical Informatics (Medical Imaging)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Clinical Consultant, Medical Informatics (Medical Imaging) based in United States.

This role provides clinical and technical expertise across medical imaging and enterprise imaging projects, supporting customers throughout implementation and adoption.
You will contribute to workflow analysis, report configuration, end-to-end testing, customer training, and go-live activities.
The position combines clinical knowledge, healthcare IT expertise, and hands-on troubleshooting to help customers achieve efficient use of imaging solutions.
You will work closely with physicians, clinicians, technical teams, sales, service, engineering, and customer stakeholders.
The role also provides ongoing clinical support and contributes to customer satisfaction, product knowledge, and professional services objectives.
Frequent customer interaction and travel make strong communication, adaptability, and relationship-building skills essential.

Accountabilities

• Provide clinical consulting and subject-matter expertise for medical imaging and medical informatics projects, including workflow analysis, report configuration, testing, training, and go-live support.
• Serve as a clinical consultant for customers and internal teams, helping translate clinical workflows and requirements into effective product solutions.
• Coordinate training activities with internal teams and customer sites, ensuring appropriate preparation, scheduling, documentation, and follow-up.
• Deliver remote and onsite customer training and consultation while supporting customer adoption and acceptance of imaging solutions.
• Provide ongoing application and image-quality support, troubleshooting issues at both the product and system levels.
• Work closely with interpreting physicians, clinicians, clinical supervisors, and other healthcare professionals to promote efficient and effective system operation.
• Provide telephone and remote clinical assistance to customers, sales teams, and field service through technical assistance channels.
• Collaborate with Service, Engineering, Integration, Customer Service, Sales, and other internal departments to resolve customer needs and support successful implementations.
• Identify workflow requirements and connect them to relevant product capabilities, while recommending appropriate solutions and improvements.
• Maintain customer training materials, technical documentation, and other records required to support successful implementation and ongoing use.
• Contribute to professional services objectives through additional training and consultation engagements.
• Ensure all activities comply with applicable quality management, regulatory, medical device, and organizational requirements, including relevant U.S. FDA and ISO 13485 standards.
• Maintain vendor credentialing requirements necessary to access healthcare facilities and perform assigned responsibilities.
• Support corrective actions, maintain a safe work environment, participate in professional organizations, and perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 2–10 years of progressive experience in medical technology, healthcare, computer science, PACS administration, healthcare IT, or a related field.
• Medical imaging experience is strongly preferred, particularly within Radiology or Cardiology.
• Relevant clinical credentials or experience are preferred, including Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS), Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), Registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist, Registered Nurse with cardiac experience, or ARRT Registered Radiology Technologist experience.
• Experience with medical imaging workflows, PACS, healthcare software applications, or related clinical technologies.
• Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Healthcare, or a relevant field is required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Strong technical support, troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to analyze clinical workflows, identify customer requirements, and translate them into product functionality.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, clinicians, end users, clinical supervisors, and technical teams.
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple activities simultaneously.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment with a high degree of professionalism.
• Strong commitment to customer satisfaction, quality management, regulatory compliance, and professional standards.
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently, potentially up to 75%, including travel to customer healthcare facilities.
• Ability to meet applicable physical and facility-access requirements associated with frequent travel and onsite healthcare environments.
