Job Description

The Junior Estimator will:

• Assist in the preparation of cost estimates for various construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead.
• Review project plans and specifications to determine scope of work and materials required.
• Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather pricing and resource information.
• Analyze historical data to develop cost projections and identify trends.
• Prepare detailed take-offs from drawings and plans using estimating software.
• Maintain organized records of estimates and bid proposals.
• Participate in bid meetings and provide support during the bidding process.
• Assist in preparing and submitting bid proposals to clients.
• Continuously seek to improve estimating processes and accuracy.
• Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and best practices.

The Successful Applicant

The Junior Estimator should have:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 1-2 years of experience in construction estimating or a related field preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar).
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• A willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-pacedenvironment.
