General Helper - 2nd shift

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: General Quality Control. Responsible for packing product that are within specifications, including size, color, shape, etc. Assigned to clear jams in packing/labeling/casing area. Produce to product specifications as specified by the customer Assist other general helper roles as assigned Maintain the area clean and safe general housekeeping. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Commit to a continuous improvement work team environment Work weekends as assigned Other duties and/or projects assigned SCOPE DATA: No direct reports Reports to Plant Manager/takes direction from Foreperson WORKING RELATIONSHIP: Works closely with oven operator, packaging lead, quality and maintenance staff as needed, as well as other general helper positions PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Pushing, pulling, bending Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Education: High School Diploma or equivalent Experience (Years/Type): Entry level About us: Alpha Baking Company, Inc., a national distributor of breads, rolls and buns, as well as sweet goods, was founded in 1979.
