About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Neuro ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Days Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years ICU experience required License: Valid Nursing License Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Level 1 Trauma experience EVD experience Description: Candidates must have strong neuro assessment skills and experience with ICP monitoring. Unit caters to patients with various neuro diagnoses. Common procedures include craniotomies, brain tumor removals, and complicated spine surgeries. Candidates will be floating between all ICU floors and tele units as required. The nurse-to-patient ratio will be 1:4 on tele units. All RNs are expected to complete necessary simulations and competencies. Client policy allows for four cancellations during a 13-week assignment. Candidates must demonstrate competence in maintaining sterile fields during procedures. Travelers must have their own vehicles for transportation. Facial piercings are not permitted, and men must be clean-shaven for fit testing. Additional educational training will be provided for lifts, restraints, and wound care procedures. Holidays and weekend shifts are part of the regular scheduling rotation. This unit requires adaptability and the ability to manage a diverse patient population.
