Deli Manager

Uncle Giuseppe’s Marketplace is seeking an experienced Deli Manager for our gourmet store! Lead our Deli Team, oversee daily operations, and ensure every customer enjoys top-quality service and fresh, delicious products.

Your Role:

1. Manage daily operations of the Deli Department, including hiring, training, and supervising staff
2. Oversee employee duties such as cutting, serving, packaging, and other counter functions
3. Maintain product storage, rotation, and labeling to prevent spoilage and ensure accurate pricing
4. Schedule and assign work to team members, monitoring performance and providing coaching
5. Track inventory and maintain stock levels to avoid shortages or overstock
6. Respond to customer and employee queries or complaints professionally
7. Operate food preparation machines and equipment safely
8. Receive, unload, and stock food items
9. Ensure the deli area is clean, safe, and organized
10. Perform other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in a deli as an Assistant Manager or Manager
3. Strong knowledge of deli meat cutting, salad making, and customer service counter operations
4. Excellent oral and written communication skills
5. Fluent in English
