Job Description
- Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, weld symbols, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately create equipment and products
- Understand requirements of building fixtures for fabrication from drawings provided
- Create specific weldment set-ups and fixturing to meet geometric requirements
- Operate calipers, weld gauges, tape measures, and other welding hand tool
- Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards
- Looking for employees that can run jobs from start to end in shop
- Minimum 5 years’ experience fitting & fabrication.
- Excellent welding capabilities a must.
- Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
- Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem
- High attention to detail and self-motivation skills
- Experience operation of general shop equipment, i.e. Hi-Lo, Overhead Crane, Small hand tools, Torches, etc.
- Must have own tools
- Maintains work area and reports completion status of all work as required.
