Continuous Improvement Specialist

Job DescriptionJSG is hiring a Continuous Improvement Specialist for an Aerospace Manufacturing Company in Simi Valley, CA. This is a temp-hire role onsite. Pay rate: $36-$45 Key Responsibilities Support continuous improvement initiatives that drive measurable improvements in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Growth (SQDCG) performance. Partner with operations and functional teams to identify process improvement opportunities and execute improvement projects. Facilitate and support Kaizen events, workshops, value stream improvement activities, and Gemba-based problem-solving efforts. Utilize Lean tools and methodologies including 5S, Visual Management, Standard Work, Value Stream Mapping, Flow, and Root Cause Analysis. Collect, analyze, and present performance data to identify trends, performance gaps, and improvement opportunities. Support deployment and sustainability of Daily Management Systems and Leader Standard Work. Assist in developing and maintaining visual performance boards and key operational metrics. Participate in root cause investigations and corrective action implementation to improve quality, safety, and operational performance. Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to execute improvement plans. Support employee engagement and training efforts related to Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Track and document project outcomes, cost savings, productivity gains, and other business impact measures. Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and employee involvement throughout the site. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, Industrial Technology, or a related field. 2–5 years of experience in Manufacturing, Operations, Continuous Improvement, Engineering, or a related environment. Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies. Experience supporting process improvement projects in a manufacturing or operational setting. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and identify actionable insights. Experience utilizing structured problem-solving techniques such as 5 Whys, Fishbone Analysis, or Root Cause Analysis.
