Audit & Assurance Manager - Philadelphia, PA

Hybrid | Up to $140,000

Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Audit Manager for a growing public accounting firm in the Philadelphia area. This leadership role offers the opportunity to oversee multiple audit and assurance engagements, mentor staff, and serve as a trusted advisor to clients across a variety of industries, including nonprofit, government, and closely held businesses.

Responsibilities

• Manage audit and assurance engagements from planning through issuance of financial statements and reports.
• Review workpapers, financial statements, and audit documentation to ensure quality and compliance.
• Provide guidance on accounting, auditing, and financial reporting matters.
• Evaluate internal controls and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop audit staff and senior accountants.
• Monitor engagement budgets, timelines, and overall project performance.
• Assist with business development initiatives and proposal preparation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 5+ years of public accounting and audit experience.
• Prior experience managing engagements and supervising staff.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, auditing standards, and financial reporting requirements.
• CPA designation preferred.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and client relationship management skills.
• Experience serving nonprofit, governmental, or closely held business clients is a plus.
