With a solid pipeline built around a novel KIR-CAR platform, our technology has found a way to circumvent the barriers in solid cancer where other CAR therapies have limited success. KIR-CARs eliminate the artificial chimeric constructs within T cells and instead use a natural NK-cell derived signaling system. This system is potent against both hematologic and solid tumors, and in preclinical models is superior to current CAR-T in conferring long-term sustained anti-tumor function to overcome the challenges posed in solid cancer. Because we believe our people are our greatest asset, career development is an important aspect of our investment in our team and we encourage work/life balance.About the Position:The Accounting Manager will oversee day-to-day accounting activities and help manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes. This role will maintain accurate financial records, prepare financial reports, responsible for operational accounting activities, and support audits, tax filings, budgeting, and compliance.The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting knowledge with a practical, detail-oriented approach and is comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Process accounts receivable, accounts payable and expenses, including corporate credit cards, employee reimbursements ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.Perform month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules, robust documentation for SOX compliance in the area of responsibilities.Responsible for complex clinical trial and manufacturing accrual models to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with US GAAP.Assist in preparation of financial statements and reporting packages.Assist in the preparation of various analyses, including flux and BvA (Budget vs. actual) analysis.Assist in the implementation and maintenance of internal controls.Assist in the quarterly review and annual audit process and support in preparation of tax provision and annual tax returns. Ensure various tax compliances, including 1099, business property tax and use tax filing.Propose continuous improvements in accounting processes and workflow automation to increase efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting.Qualification Requirements:Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.At least 5-10 years of progressive accounting experience.Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.Experience managing month-end and year-end close processes.Strong understanding of accrual accounting, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.High standards of accuracy, integrity, and professional judgment.Key CompetenciesHands-on and willing to work at both detailed and strategic levels.Comfortable operating in a growing company with evolving processes.Able to explain accounting matters clearly to non-finance colleagues.Proactive in identifying issues and proposing practical solutions.Collaborative, dependable, and able to handle confidential information.
