Description: Hiring process includes a profile review and an interview with the unit manager. The radius for applicants is 60 miles. Candidates are required to submit a valid driver's license. Orientation will occur on-site, and clinicians must be present for the duration. Travelers must provide their radiation badge. The department has 4 scanners/rooms available. No floating or covering of other areas is required. Common imaging studies performed in the department are ED, OP, and IP. The average number of scans performed per day is between 20 and 30. The department uses EPIC and Fuji Synaps for their EMR and PACS systems. Department-specific equipment includes GE imaging systems. There is no Radiology Supervisor or Lead Technician assigned. Registered Radiology Assistants are not utilized in this department. A radiologist is present in-house. IV starts are not required for this position. Shifts are 12-hour night shifts, either 3 or 4 shifts per week, alternating weekly. Weekend requirements exist; holiday requirements do not. Call or standby is only needed if ever required. Scrub colors are professional; scrubs are not provided. Department-specific orientation is mandatory. Cancellation policy allows up to 4 shifts to be canceled for 13-week assignments and 3 shifts for shorter assignments. Charting system is EPIC. A BSN is not required. This position is within an acute care setting and falls under the allied health division.
