Marketing Intern, Chartwells Higher Ed / Northeastern University

General Description In this role, you will work closely with the Marketing Manager to implement and promote the dining program at Northeastern University. You will support and execute the social media strategy across platforms, bring the brand’s voice to life through compelling content, facilitate meaningful community interaction, and make data‑informed decisions. Job Responsibilities Work with the Marketing Manager to execute and continuously refine the social media strategy, focusing on content creation across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook). Assist in social media calendar development and posting on all social media feeds. Monitor and engage with the community on social media by responding to comments, direct messages, and conversations. Create and edit videos featuring dining locations, special events, food trends, and sustainability topics. Track and report on social media analytics (reach, engagement, follower growth). Create marketing materials to numerous specifications. Conduct surveys to collect marketing research. Represent the brand as a spokesperson. Support the marketing team in event planning, organizing, and hosting as needed. Requirements Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Experience or knowledge in customer service. Interest in storytelling, content creation, and digital marketing strategy. Strong understanding of social media platforms and awareness of emerging trends among college‑aged demographic. Basic knowledge of graphic design and video editing tools. Basic knowledge of social media analytics tools. Event planning or execution experience is a plus.
