Position Type Part Time Pay Rate $18.87 / Hour Job Schedule DayTime Mon 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM Sat 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM What You'll Do Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a shelter location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services when needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, common areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor access to the location by observing arrivals and departures, verifying authorized entry when required, and reporting policy violations, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel. Support a respectful environment by assisting with de‑escalation efforts, providing directions and information, and following post orders related to resident services, visitor management, and overnight operations. Minimum Requirements Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
