Temporary Pharmacy Technician needed to perform defined pharmacy technician duties (inpatient order processing, Omnicell maintenance, daily inpatient medication preparation), outpatient (prescription processing), and compounding (non-sterile) when needed and on Saturdays.

Requirements and Preferences

Work Schedule - TBD, (Saturdays, and weekdays as needed)

Minimum Experience/Education - Current enrollment or completion of a two year pharmacy technician training program. Prefer experience working in a veterinary pharmacy in a veterinary teaching hospital.

Department Required Skills - Competency in inpatient cartfill, outpatient prescription filling, sterile and non-sterile compounding. Omnicell maintenance, and pharmacy drug pre-packing. Ability to complete veterinary prescription orders. Good customer service. Good computer skills.

Required License or Certification - Current enrollment in or successful completion of a two year pharmacy technology associate program with eligibility for CphT certification.

Anticipated Hiring Range - $15.00 - $18.00
