TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Chattanooga, Tennessee, 37404!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Current RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS; CCRN preferred Must-Have: - Cardiac critical care experience - Ability to care for post open heart patients a minimum of 1 to 2 days postoperatively - Experience with Impella heart pump and CRRT preferred Description: The unit has 12 beds with standard ICU patient ratios of 1 RN to 2 patients, unless there is higher or lower acuity. Staffing includes a dayshift secretary and primary RN staffing. The unit is equipped with standard critical care equipment, including Impella and Hemosphere advanced monitoring platform. The documentation system used is Meditech. Participation in scheduling is required, with a minimum of 3 weekend shifts per month. Block scheduling is not guaranteed. Staff may be asked to float to other units as needed. Nurses are expected to explain care and medications clearly and treat patients with courtesy and respect. Timely response to call lights is necessary. Certified critical care staff respond to rapid and code blue situations. Procedures performed on the unit include intubations, CRRT, and hemodynamic monitoring. The required dress code is navy scrubs. Designated critical care staff respond to emergencies and codes. Traveling staff are subject to float as necessary.
