An established and growing organization is seeking a Junior Accountant / Accounting Assistant to join its accounting team. The Junior Accountant / Accounting Assistant will work closely with senior accounting leadership, supporting daily accounting activities while developing expertise in the full accounting cycle. This role offers significant exposure to accounting processes, financial systems, and opportunities for advancement.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities throughout the full accounting cycle
- Support accounts receivable processes and provide backup support for accounts payable functions
- Prepare account reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records
- Assist with financial reporting and month-end accounting activities
- Help manage and maintain ERP and accounting systems
- Collaborate with accounting leadership on special projects and process improvements
- Support documentation, recordkeeping, and compliance-related activities
- Contribute to ongoing operational and accounting initiatives
Qualifications
- Experience or working knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles
- Understanding of accounts receivable and accounts payable processes
- Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, NetSuite, or similar platforms
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities
- Eagerness to learn and grow within an accounting career path
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
