Director of Revenue Cycle Management

DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Director of Revenue Cycle Management to lead billing and collections operations for a specialty outpatient environment in Monmouth County, New Jersey. This position will guide revenue cycle performance by strengthening claim accuracy, improving reimbursement outcomes, and maintaining compliance with payer and regulatory standards. The role also partners with leadership to evaluate financial trends, refine workflows, and support a high-performing revenue cycle team.Responsibilities:• Direct end-to-end revenue cycle activities, including charge capture, claim submission, payment application, accounts receivable follow-up, and appeal resolution.• Lead billing team operations by supervising staff, setting expectations, coaching performance, and promoting consistent execution across daily workflows.• Oversee coding accuracy by ensuring proper use of CPT, ICD-10, and specialty-related modifiers to support compliant and timely reimbursement.• Track payer policy changes, filing requirements, and reimbursement updates to reduce denials and maintain operational compliance.• Review accounts receivable aging, denial patterns, collections results, and productivity metrics to identify issues and improve financial performance.• Develop and maintain billing procedures, documentation standards, and quality controls that support efficient and standardized department operations.• Manage revenue cycle activity within eClinicalWorks, including system optimization, issue resolution, and configuration support for billing processes.• Conduct audits and monitor billing quality to safeguard patient information, uphold regulatory requirements, and minimize revenue leakage.• Present performance insights and recommendations to leadership, using data trends to drive process enhancements and stronger reimbursement outcomes.RequirementsBenefits:Medical/Dental/Vision - covers good portion of premiums, various plans to chose from401k + matchPTO + sick time off• Minimum of 2 years of revenue cycle management experience within a specialty medical practice.• Strong working knowledge of healthcare billing, coding standards, reimbursement methodologies, and accounts receivable processes.• Experience leading billing or revenue cycle teams with a demonstrated ability to mentor staff and manage performance.• Proficiency in analyzing financial and operational reports, including AR aging, denial activity, and collections metrics.• Familiarity with payer guidelines, regulatory billing requirements, and patient information privacy standards.• Hands-on experience with eClinicalWorks is preferred.• Excellent communication, organizational, and process improvement skills in a healthcare revenue environment.Job typePerm
