Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Behavioral Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 5 years of nursing experience required; recent inpatient psychiatric experience within the last 3 months License: Active Vermont or Compact license required Certifications: BLS certification from the American Health Association required Must-Have: - Recent psychiatric experience within the last 3 months - Experience with diverse patient populations and age groups - Willingness to float to other units and take charge shifts - Supervisory references from the last 2 years of employment - Psych skills checklist from within the last year Description: This position is part of a float unit that requires adaptability to work with all age groups. Candidates must be experienced and able to start without delay. The role involves working with a multidisciplinary team to assess and address individual and group needs. The nursing process will be utilized to meet the complex needs of patients. Clinical supervision of Mental Health Workers will be provided to ensure safe and therapeutic care delivery. The program focuses on managing co-occurring psychiatric issues alongside sobriety. Candidates should have experience in providing high-quality interventions and medically assisted withdrawal. The aim is to promote healing and successful recovery for patients. There are no scheduled time-off requests during the first two weeks of orientation, and time off cannot exceed 7 days. Crisis Prevention Intervention training is offered onsite.
