About the Opportunity

Modern Automotive is seeking an experienced, results-driven Automotive Sales Manager to join Nissan of Winston-Salem! This is an exciting opportunity for a proven automotive sales professional who is ready to lead a team, strengthen dealership performance, and contribute to the continued growth of our store.

We are looking for a leader who understands the fast-paced automotive retail environment, knows how to develop successful salespeople, and can balance sales volume, profitability, customer satisfaction, and employee development. The ideal candidate leads by example, sets high standards, and creates a positive, accountable team environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and dealership sales goals.
• Drive new and used vehicle sales, gross profit, and overall dealership profitability.
• Monitor sales performance, key metrics, and daily activity to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Train and develop sales consultants through ongoing coaching, accountability, and performance management.
• Assist with managing the sales process, including customer engagement, negotiations, and deal structure.
• Maintain high standards for customer satisfaction, professionalism, and customer retention.
• Work closely with dealership leadership to implement sales strategies and achieve business objectives.
• Help recruit, develop, and retain high-performing sales talent.
• Ensure the sales team follows dealership procedures and maintains accurate documentation.
• Foster a team-oriented culture built around performance, integrity, and exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of automotive sales experience.
• Previous automotive sales leadership or management experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a sales team.
• Strong understanding of automotive sales processes, dealership operations, and sales performance metrics.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer relationship skills.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
