Position Title: General Factory Position Purpose: Assembles, packs, loads, fabricates parts and /or unloads materials Essential duties Specific tasks may include: wrapping, baling, packaging, press operation, and housekeeping Reads and understands work orders to accurately apply adhesive, assemble and pack fabricated parts according to customer specifications Understands and follows written and/or verbal instructions regarding customer specifications Verifies conformance to specifications using a tape measure. Understands and follows written and/or verbal direction from Group Leads Maintains daily 5s in general area of responsibility Follow 5s and safety policies and procedures Other duties, as assigned Preferred Knowledge, skills, experience: Able to read, write and speak English Able to lift and carry 50lbs Able to stand and walk for 8 hours Able to read measuring devices Preferred Education / Certifications: High school diploma or equivalent Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to work independently and perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. This position requires the wearing of Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) consisting of eye protection while on the production floor as well as hearing protection in designated areas. Work Environment: The environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of the position. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, regularly exposed to noise levels in the work environment which are moderate to loud, and exposed to temperature ranging from moderate to high depending on the time of year and location of the work being done.
