Job Description
QUALITY ENGINEER/INSPECTION SUPERVISOR (Permanent)
Our client, an international manufacturing organization with headquarters in WNY, is looking to hire a Quality Engineer/Inspection Supervisor to join their growing team.This is a newly created, hands-on position, open due to growth, that reports directly to the Quality Manager.

Responsibilities:

Oversee a teamof Inspection personnel to ensure processes, assembly, and parts aremeeting quality and customer requirements
Trackperformance of Inspection team members, providing hands-on training andguidance of inspection techniques and processes
Spearhead regulatory compliance activities for UL, CSA, ETL, NSF, and Intertek certifications for manufactured products
Participate in audit coordination, reporting, application management, nonconformance resolution, and database maintenance
Prepare,maintain, and present quality reports and documents for internal andregistration audits according to ISO9001 & ISO14001 standards
Audit andimplement improvements to SOPs, Work instructions, and training documentsto ensure best practices are executed
Collaboratewith various internal teams-Production, Engineering, etc.-to design andimplement inspection protocols and analyze Engineering specifications
Conductroot-cause analysis as issues arise, develop short-term and long-termcorrective action plans, and ensure proper implementation
Ensure allquality issues are properly communicated to appropriate internal teammembers, customers, and suppliers
Analyze testand inspection methodologies for effectiveness, implementing improvementswhen necessary
Review newproducts-both purchased by and created by the organization-throughProduction Part Approval Process (PPAP)
Work well bothindependently and in a team environment
Other dutiesas assigned/as necessary

Details:

Positionis full-time, direct hire
100%in-office
$90,000 - $130,000annually depending on experience
Excellentbenefits package: Medical, Dental, and Vision, 401k with employer match; strongPTO package including vacation, holidays, 56 hours sick time, and paidplant shutdown between Christmas and New Years
5+ years'experience in a manufacturing environment, 3+ years in a supervisory role
Knowledge ofHVAC systems, pump systems, pressure vessels, motors, etc.
Bachelor's degree;comparable experience will offset a degree
Excellentexperience with ERP systems, computer skills, etc.
Excellent presentation& communication skills
Strongorganizational & time management skills
Self-motivated,but collaborative and team oriented
Relocationnot available
