Job Summary:
A registered nurse specializing in medical-surgical (MS) care is sought for a full-time position on a medical-surgical unit located in Marion, Illinois. This role requires candidates to demonstrate confidence, independence, resilience, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. The position offers a schedule of 12-hour day shifts and is suitable for licensed professionals who meet the experience and certification requirements. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

• Location: Marion, Illinois
• Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 am 7:30 pm)
• Schedule: 36 hours per week guaranteed, with holiday rotations as scheduled
• Required Qualifications: Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license (no pending licenses or temporary licenses), Bachelors Degree or Associate Degree or Certificate in Nursing, at least 2 years of medical-surgical (Med/Surg) experience, charting experience with EPIC electronic medical record system, American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and Covid-19 vaccination not required but subject to change
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Nursing (preferred), strong work ethic, resilient, adaptable, socially engaging candidates
• Unit Information: 36-bed medical-surgical and orthopedic unit with patient ratios of 1:5 with a CNA, and 1:4 in primary care situations when staff call-ins or staffing issues arise
• Additional Information:
  • Float between ED and ICU might be required for medical holds only
  • GSA hours are not guaranteed during orientation week
  • Candidates must attend interviews on Monday through Friday, with MSP interview types available
  • Every other weekend and holidays as needed
