Clinical Laboratory Technologist - Flow Cytometry Dry Lab, Thurs-Sun Mornings

NeoGenomics is looking for a Clinical Laboratory Technologist for the Flow Cytometry Dry Lab department who wants to continue to learn and help the company grow. Shift: Thursday‑Sunday, 6:00 am‑4:30 pm Eastern (subject to change based on business needs). This is a hybrid position based at any of our sites located in Fort Myers, FL; Durham, NC; Ramsey, NJ; or Houston, TX. Position Summary: The Clinical Laboratory Technologist works under general supervision and is responsible for complex laboratory procedures and handling all types of specimens submitted to the department for processing tasks. Responsibilities Performs clinical laboratory tests proficiently in the department under general supervision, exercising independent judgment in the assigned specialty. Follows the laboratory’s procedures for specimen handling, processing, test analyses, reporting, and maintains accurate records of all testing performed on‑site. Maintains records that proficiency testing samples are tested the same way as patient specimens. Determines specimen acceptability, prepares clinical specimens for testing, and identifies specimen‑related problems according to established SOP guidelines. Analyzes specimens using approved testing procedures. Reviews, releases test results and follows the department’s procedure for reporting STAT or critical results to the interpreting physician per SOP. Performs and documents quality control on reagents, equipment, and assays; recognizes and addresses QC failures by consulting or following up with the department supervisor or lead technologist. Documents all corrective actions taken when test systems deviate from the laboratory’s established performance specifications. Experience, Education and Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology from an accredited college or university (preferred). Bachelor’s Degree in one of the chemical, physical, or biological sciences with at least one year of laboratory experience or training (preferred). 1+ year equivalent experience in high‑complexity testing (preferred). Certificate Compliance Requirements: Nationally: ASCP certification for the assigned specialty, as available. FL: Current state license to perform laboratory testing – Clinical Laboratory Technologist. CA: Current state license to perform laboratory testing – Clinical Laboratory Scientist, Clinical Cytogeneticist Scientist, or Clinical Genetic Molecular Biologist.
