Job DescriptionExxonMobil Advanced Graphite Solutions4021 Calvin DriveHopkinsville, KY 42240Position Title: Quality TechnicianBusiness Title: Quality TechnicianSite: 20 KY-HTTCost Center: 100 ProductionLocation: KY 1Principal Duties and Responsibilities:Test and inspect products at various stages of production process and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products.Use gauges and other devices to verify conformity to standards of product.Suggest or recommend changes regarding special requirements as needed. Assists in implementing a total quality management program and/or trains others on total quality management.Obtain samples of raw materials/finished productsTest all final products for conformance to specificationsTest incoming raw materialsEnter all results in databaseMaintain clean/safe work areaResponsible for all lab results and the quality of work performedIdentifies critical points in the manufacturing process and defines sampling procedureInteracts regularly with engineering, manufacturing, and service functions to establish quality standards for raw material, work in process, and finished productsComplies with company policies and the Standards of Business ConductAdheres to general and job specific safety, environmental, and quality guidelines/proceduresPerforms other duties as assignedEducation/Experience - Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Two-year associates in Lab Tech program or higher education in Science preferred (Minimum High School Diploma/GED Required)Or at least two years of experience in a laboratory or quality control area requiredMust have complete knowledge on how to perform the following:Basic use of glassware, balances, fume hoods, and standardized lab equipmentBasic mechanical aptitude in lab settingUnderstanding of ASTM or similar methodsGood housekeeping practicesPhysical Qualifications:Vision: Normal RequiredHearing: Normal RequiredReaching/Stretching: Normal RequiredStanding/Walking/Mobility: Normal RequiredClimbing/Stooping/Kneeling: Normal RequiredLifting/Pulling/Pushing: Normal RequiredFingering/Grasping/Feeling: Normal RequiredCapable of lifting 50 lbs on a periodic basisWork Environment:Plant EnvironmentNoise:Quantity of business machines and devicesTravel Requirements:NoneTravel Destination:NoneE/O/E AA Employer M/F V/D #J-18808-Ljbffr
