Located at: Central Denver and surrounding communities (Boulder to Lakewood, Aurora to Parker, and more)

Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: This opportunity is through ABC's temporary nanny service: Jovie of Denver. We have full and part-time job openings available. Candidates should be available 2-3+ days per week, Monday-Friday, between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Preference for candidates seeking 20+ hours per week. Evening, weekend, special-event and church-care assignments are also be available!

Live-In / Live-Out: This is a live-out position.

Commitment/Contract Length: Minimum of 3+ month commitment is required, but preference is given to those seeking 6+ months to 1+ year position.

Children's Ages: Ages of children will vary on the assignment: ranging from infants/toddlers to preschoolers/elementary school-age children.

About the Children:

• As an employee of ABC's temporary nanny service - Jovie of Denver - every day will be unique! You'll care for children of varying ages, personalities and developmental stages, from babies needing attentive care to active toddlers and school-age children who love games, crafts and outdoor play.
• Daily routines and childcare needs vary by family. You'll help children feel safe, comfortable and engaged while following each family's established routines.

About the Family:

• Our agency partners with families throughout the Denver and Boulder metro area who need dependable, professional childcare for temporary, backup, part-time and occasional care.
• You'll work with a variety of families and household routines while building valuable experience in a professional, in-home childcare setting.
• Our local admin team helps coordinate assignments and provides support, so you can focus on what you do best: caring for children!

About the Pets:

• Some families have pets. Candidates should be comfortable working in pet-friendly homes.

Additional Notes:

• This is an excellent opportunity for experienced babysitters, daycare or preschool employees, gym childcare providers and students who want to build their childcare careers.
• You don't need previous professional nanny experience! We value hands-on childcare experience, reliability and a genuine love of working with children.
• Jovie provides W-2 employment and coordinates childcare assignments, eliminating the need to find and arrange every babysitting job independently.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:

• Provide safe, nurturing and engaging childcare for children of varying ages in local family homes.
• Plan developmentally appropriate activities, including reading, crafts, games, outdoor play and learning opportunities.
• Support daily routines such as meals, naps, diapering, playtime and transitions, depending on the children's ages.
• Follow each family's care instructions, communicate professionally with parents and maintain a tidy childcare environment.
• Arrive prepared, adapt confidently to new households and consistently demonstrate Jovie's core values: Can-Do Attitude, Results Matter and Leave It Better.

Travel Requirements:

• Candidates must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel approximately 15-20 miles to local childcare assignments.

• Experience caring for babies and toddlers is strongly preferred.
• Comfortable independently caring for children of different ages and adapting to new family routines.
• Confident managing age-appropriate activities, children's safety and everyday childcare responsibilities.
• Professional, punctual and comfortable working in different home environments.
• Interested in building childcare experience and becoming a valued member of a supportive local team.

Compensation and Benefits

Rate of Pay (gross):

• Jovie is offering $19.50-$21.50/hour (gross), based on experience.

Required Qualifications

We welcome all candidates who meet or exceed the following requirements to apply…

• The ideal candidate will be an experienced childcare provider with at least 1+ year of hands-on experience caring for children. Previous babysitter and nanny experience is welcome but not required. Experience in daycare, preschool, gym childcare, babysitting or similar settings is highly valued.
• Have 2+ professional and personal references
• Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
• Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate
• Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
• Are a non-smoker
• Committed to professional, legal pay
• CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
