Senior Cost Accountant/ Senior Operations Finance Analyst Stockton, CA | Manufacturing Industry About the Opportunity Our client is a well-established manufacturing company with a single-plant site in the Stockton, CA area. This is a newly created opening on a lean, tenured finance team (Controller, Assistant Controller, two Cost Accountants, Corporate Staff Accountant, Payroll, AP, and AR) within a stable, growing organization that is currently investing in system upgrades and process improvements across the company. Location & Schedule Onsite in Stockton, CA. Some hybrid flexibility may be negotiable, but this role must be fully onsite during month-end close week. Works a 9/80 schedule (every other Friday off). Base salary: $85,000–$125,000 (exempt, salaried), commensurate with experience Discretionary annual bonus Comprehensive healthcare, with FSA and HSA options available 401(k) with 5% match (100% match on the first 4% deferred, 50% match on the next 2%) Life insurance Wellness program What You’ll Do Report on FP&A for projects and margins for a key product line Own cost accounting for the site’s manufacturing plant Manage general ledger accounting through month-end close Analyze cost variances and inventory valuation Apply standard costing and percentage-of-completion (POC) costing methods Partner cross-functionally with production, procurement, and finance to ensure accurate cost reporting and drive continuous improvement in cost management Support internal and external audits with cost accounting records, documentation, and analysis What We’re Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred 5+ years of relevant experience Manufacturing industry experience required Strong background across cost accounting, general ledger, and broader finance functions Government contract accounting and percentage-of-completion (POC) experience preferred Strong Excel and data analysis skills; ERP system experience Due to the nature of this employer's contracts, candidates must qualify as a U.S. Person under ITAR regulations (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or protected individual) #J-18808-Ljbffr
