The Senior Auditor leads day-to-day fieldwork on auditand attest engagements, coordinates assigned staff andhelps ensure engagements are completed efficiently,accurately and in accordance with firm methodology andprofessional standards. This role serves as a key client contact during fieldwork,translates planning decisions into clear work assignmentsand supports staff and interns through practical coachingand timely feedback. What You'll Do Key Responsibilities Engagement Leadership Lead assigned audit, review, compilation and otherattest engagement areas through completion. Supervise staff and interns during fieldwork. Perform and document complex audit procedures. Prepare and review workpapers for completeness,accuracy and manager review. Review financial statements, disclosures andclient deliverables. Identify audit issues, control matters and projectdelays and recommend next steps. Monitor budgets, deadlines and workflow status. Client Service & Communication Build productive working relationships withclient contacts. Help manage client expectations during fieldwork. Provide status updates and communicate priorityrequests and deliverable timing. Draft professional client correspondence. Assist with PBC requests, sample selections andunresolved audit questions. Team Leadership Provide on-the-job training to staff and interns. Coach team members on documentation, communication,time management and firm tools. Review staff work and provide practical,constructive feedback. Model accountability by staying organized andcommunicating progress. Help create a positive team environment whereothers can succeed. Background Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. CPA license or active progress toward CPAlicensure preferred. Generally 3–6 years of audit experience in publicaccounting or comparable professional services. Strong understanding of GAAP, audit methodology,workpaper standards and professional standards. Experience with closely held businesses,nonprofits, governmental entities, churches,employee benefit plans or similar clients ishelpful. Microsoft Office and audit software proficiency.
