Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 24 months.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

• 12 months of acute care experience within the last 2 years.

• 12 months of Trauma Level 1 facility is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Maine license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <90 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - MaineHealth.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Neuro/Neurosurg experience required.

Special Requests: Travel pairs are not accepted.

Unit Details: Patient ratios: 1:4-5 on days, 1:5-6 on nights. Cares for neurosurgical patients (spinal surgery, spine fractures, brain tumors), seizure disorders, VP shunts, head bleeds, traumatic injuries, and joint replacement surgery.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. No call.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 2 years

Driver’s license required for submission
