Director, Commercial Data & Analytics Architecture

Director overseeing the architecture and governance of Pfizer's commercial analytics data ecosystem, including data models, semantic layers, and technology strategy. This hands-on role requires designing scalable systems, enforcing data standards, and partnering with business and technical stakeholders across the enterprise.

Responsibilities

• Own the commercial analytics data model including standardized domains, conformed dimensions, and governed identity spines
• Establish and oversee federated development model allowing autonomous modeling within governed guardrails
• Publish and maintain architecture standards, reference implementations, and documentation for internal and external teams
• Shape and implement data contracts with automated quality testing and maintain consolidated metric registry
• Set technology stack direction for data layer infrastructure and partner with enterprise platform teams on requirements

Requirements

• 8+ years in data architecture, data engineering, or analytics engineering with substantial hands-on technical delivery
• High proficiency in SQL and Python with regular production coding experience
• Deep experience with modern cloud data warehouses, transformation frameworks, orchestration, and CI/CD
• Demonstrated experience designing and enforcing data contracts, conformed data models, and metric/semantic layers
• Experience serving as design authority over vendor or partner implementation in large enterprises
• Experience with commercial pharmaceutical or life sciences data and associated business definitions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to senior leadership

Compensation: $162,900–$271,500 base annual salary
