Description

• Conduct comprehensive assessments for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics, utilizing recognized evaluation tools and keen observational skills.
• Design tailored treatment strategies that blend immediate targets with broad communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Engage in direct speech therapy sessions focusing on language development, fluency, voice modifications, and swallowing techniques.
• Partner with a vibrant interdisciplinary team of occupational therapists, physical therapists, nurses, and physicians to establish integrated care plans.
• Educate patients and families to facilitate their progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Occasionally oversee inpatient speech evaluations and interventions, ensuring a holistic and seamless treatment experience.
• Keep precise and prompt documentation that adheres to local, federal, and institutional standards.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days from starting.
