Description

• Create individualized treatment strategies that cater to immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver focused speech therapy tailored to aspects such as communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Work collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, family members, and caregivers to formulate integrated care pathways.
• Provide education to patients and their families to ensure ongoing progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Occasionally assist with inpatient evaluations and interventions to guarantee seamless treatment continuity.
• Keep precise documentation according to state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Engage in professional development to remain current with advancements in speech-language pathology.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification has not yet been obtained.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of joining.
