About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead its mission of providing safe, affordable housing and support to low- and moderate-income residents. The CEO will be the public face of the organization, responsible for overseeing all programs, staff, finances, partnerships, and strategic initiatives. This pivotal role requires a forward-thinking and strategic leader with a genuine commitment to the mission of affordable housing. The successful candidate will be tasked with implementing the 2024-2027 strategic plan, solidifying the organization's reputation as a leader in affordable housing, and expanding its reach through collaborative efforts. Key responsibilities include providing visionary leadership, guiding the affordable housing development pipeline, and ensuring the organization's financial sustainability. The CEO will also be expected to build strong, transparent, and collaborative relationships with the community, and to lead the organization through a period of growth and change. Candidates for the CEO position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' of progressive leadership experience in affordable housing development and finance, or a related field. The role demands a leader with a proven track record in real estate development, financial management, and strategic planning. The ideal candidate will have experience working with a governing board, navigating politically engaged communities, and building coalitions among diverse stakeholders. Personal characteristics of the successful candidate should include a commitment to equity, inclusion, and public service, as well as the ability to manage and drive change. A strong educational background, such as an advanced degree in a relevant field, is preferred. The CEO will be expected to be a calm and steady presence under pressure, with superior communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of constituents.
