Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This pharmacy technician role offers a 13-week contract opportunity in Clearwater, FL, with a Monday through Friday schedule from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. The position starts ASAP or within approximately 1.5 to 2 weeks after clearance.

Key responsibilities include processing and filling prescriptions, handling insurance claim adjudications and resolving rejections, preparing, packaging, and labeling medications for pharmacist verification. You will also perform data entry, manage prescription paperwork, and communicate with patients and prescribers. Maintaining accurate inventory through daily cycle counts, restocking, and expiration reviews is essential. Additional duties involve assisting with medication returns, quarantines, destruction processes, and cross-training in various pharmacy functions to support departmental needs. Ensuring compliance with HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, and insurance regulations is required.

Desired qualifications for this role include a High School diploma or GED, PTCB certification, and a Florida pharmacy technician license in good standing. Candidates should have at least 2 years of pharmacy technician experience, with some call center background preferred. Strong multitasking, organizational, and time management skills are necessary, along with effective communication abilities to interact with patients, providers, and internal teams efficiently.
