Title
Neuro Telemetry RN - Neuroscience

Schedule
Every other weekend required.

Requirements
- Valid state RN license required; Compact license must be in hand at submission.
- Minimum 1 year RN experience required.
- Neuro/Neurosurgical experience required (post-op neuro care, varied neurology diagnoses).
- Comfortable with NIH Stroke Scale / designated stroke unit care.
- Telemetry experience and dysrhythmia recognition/management.
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS; NIHSS competency expected.
- Core clinical skills:
- Post-op neurosurgical care / craniotomy care.
- Stroke/CVA care (thrombectomy-capable unit).
- Telemetry monitoring; dysrhythmia recognition/management.
- BiPAP/CPAP management; chest tube management.
- Procedural sedation monitoring; spinal cord injury; TBI care.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor patients in a designated stroke unit with a focus on neurology and neurosurgical care.
- Provide post-operative care for neurosurgical patients.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Assist with procedures and emergency interventions as needed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and healthcare needs.

Compliance / Notes
- Orientation: 36 hours.
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).
- Pre-approved time off: Two days (per contract).
- Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities; refusal may result in termination/forfeiture of hours.
