RN Telemetry Weekend Shift

Registered Nurse – Neuro / Telemetry
Schedule: Every other weekend required
Requirements:

Minimum 1 year RN experience
Neuro / neurosurgical / telemetry experience required
Valid state RN license (compact license must be in hand at submission)
Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
Comfortable with NIH Stroke Scale and post-operative neurosurgery care
Roles & Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a neuroscience, neuro stepdown, telemetry unit.
Monitor and assess patient conditions, recognizing and managing dysrhythmias.
Conduct NIH Stroke Scale assessments and provide post-operative care for neurosurgery patients.
Manage care for patients with traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and strokes.
Offer respiratory support, including BiPAP/CPAP, and manage chest tubes as necessary.
Monitor patients undergoing procedural sedation, ensuring safety and stability.
Compliance / Notes:

Must commit to working 3 of these 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
References: 2 required covering 1 year within the last 3 years
Orientation: 36 hours
Facility does not accept Nursys or background hits.
