Provides an efficient and effective repair service that meets company and departmental obligations and objectives. The Product Repair Technician will be performing, ready to perform, or eligible to perform safety-sensitive work and therefore will be part of the OECO LLC Drug and Alcohol Testing Program. The Program includes random, reasonable suspicion, and post-accident testing.Job Core ResponsibilitiesPerforms teardowns, overhauls and functional testing of various repair station products and itemsEnsures that all repair work is performed according to procedures and per correct document revisionAssists in the development and implementation of product improvement initiativesInspects, tests, troubleshoots and repairs shop equipment as requiredCompletes necessary trainings to maintain knowledge and skills required for job performancePerforms documentation of all repairs and re-certifications of equipment according to regulatory, customer and departmental requirementsOther responsibilities as assignedRegular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessaryJob SpecificationsEducation: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent GED is required.Certifications: Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related fieldYears Experience: 2-5 years of relevant experienceSkills:Excellent technical knowledge and skills in product repairGood communication skills both written and verbalProven troubleshooting skills to component level on complex electronic circuitsAbility to recognize and solve typical problems that can occur in own work area; evaluates and selects solutions from established optionsComputer proficientParticipate in all team meetingsAssist in other departments as needed. May perform other duties as assigned by management.Must be able to read a ruler, micrometer, and calipers. Familiar with the use of hand tools, as screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers etc. Must have good eye/hand coordination. Computer skills required such as data input, word documents etc. Must have the ability to read complex instructions, blueprints and schematics.
