Overview Registered Nurse – Med Surg Tele available for a travel assignment in Lima, Ohio. Start date: 08/25/2026. 13-week contract with 36 guaranteed hours per week. Shift: 7:00 PM–7:30 AM (12-hour nights). Setting: hospital-based Med Surg Tele unit. Weekly pay range: $1,690–$1,725. This is a travel - temporary assignment with a focus on adult medical-surgical and telemetery care. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $1,690–$1,725 per week Guaranteed hours: 36 per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 PM–7:30 AM (12-hour nights) Start date: 08/25/2026 Setting: Hospital Med Surg Tele unit Schedule note: Every other weekend; on-call not required Local traveler policy: Lima area residents within 45 miles may be considered local travelers and may have rate adjustments Responsibilities Provide direct, patient-centered care to adults on a Med Surg Tele floor, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care using age-specific criteria Monitor telemetry and cardiac rhythms; administer and titrate cardiac medications (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Heparin, Cardene, Dobutamine, Lasix, Bumex) per orders and document responses Recognize early signs of clinical deterioration; communicate changes promptly to the care team; intervene using critical thinking skills Collaborate with physicians, LPN/PCT, and Unit Secretaries; assist in planning, directing, and teaching non-RN staff as appropriate Provide patient and family education; ensure accurate documentation in the electronic health record and adherence to hospital policies Support discharge planning and care transitions, while maintaining safety, infection control, and quality improvement standards Requirements Current RN license in Ohio or a Compact state (Nursys verification required) Active BLS and ACLS credentials from the American Heart Association Minimum 2+ years of Med Surg/Telemetry nursing experience (required) Proficient telemetry skills with knowledge of heart rhythms and appropriate interventions Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, acute care setting and to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team Education: RN with the ability to practice in the listed unit; favorable to the assignment’s shift and schedule Ability to meet the specified shift and length of assignment in Lima, OH Benefits and Support Guaranteed hours on a 13-week assignment 24/7 recruiter and travel support Dedicated support throughout the assignment Extension opportunities based on unit needs and performance Nationwide travel opportunities through the program #J-18808-Ljbffr
