Controls Engineer

Job TitleDevelop, validate & standardize controls devices data parsing PLC logic, own and update auto PLC logic generation tool.Develop PLC logic (Rockwell, Siemens, Fanuc) using programming languages (Python/C++/etc.)Ensure compliance to GM common controls hardware and software strategies for newly developed DLA controls solutionsEnsure compliance to GM plant floor systems, networking and cyber security requirementsCollaborate with DLA core team, business, IT, Automation and analytics community to capture, prioritize, planSupport GCCS & GCCH Controls, Networks and IT architects in development and testing of necessary controls software and inclusion of DLA logic in core PLC templatesCreate & maintain necessary training documents, standardized work sheetsUnderstand latest industry trends and explore possibilities of using advance analytics toolsUnderstand observations from manufacturing plants and propose improvement solutions & provide feedbackPlan and support training and guidance to controls execution, strategic suppliers and plant teams as neededTravel to GM mfg facilities on need basis for pilots, tests, trainings, upgrades etc.SkillsPlc programming, python, Allen-bradleyJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Warren, MI.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $34.00 - $43.00/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
